Andrea Evers KHMW member and TOP50 women in Leiden

Professor Andrea Evers is one of the 20 new members appointed to the Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities (KHMW) in 2020. The KHMW has a long tradition of building bridges between science and society and was established in 1752. To stimulate excellent research and public engagement, the KHMW awards prizes for academic achievements and organizes lectures and conferences.

Furthermore, Andrea Evers was chosen as one of the Top 50 women in Leiden. This was the first edition of the Top 50 women and the names were announced on International Women’s Day. All women on the list made a difference thought their activities in the past year in Leiden. The list is divided into 10 categories, and Andrea Evers was chosen as one of the women in the category ‘Healthcare and welfare’ for her ongoing outstanding scientific contributions to this field.
